John E. Jacoby III, age 63 of Napoleon, Ohio died on Saturday evening at the Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center.
He was born April 4, 1946 in Defiance, Ohio to the late John and Mary (Hedrick) Jacoby. On April 2, 1981 he married Alma Ruth England and she died on October 16, 2003.
John worked for the Campbell’s Soup Company of Napoleon for 42 years. He was a 1965 graduate of Tinora High School. He attended the Napoleon Church of the Nazarene.
He is survived by a significant other Mary Ludemann of Napoleon; his sister Rachel (Robert) Hurtig of Mark Center, Ohio; step-sons Patrick and Michael Johnson of Middlesboro, Kentucky; a step-daughter Angela Baker of Hillsboro, Kentucky;
4 step grandchilden and 7 step great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a step-son Tracy Johnson.
Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday at the Snyder-Wesche Funeral Home of Napoleon, Ohio with the Rev. David Lutz, officiating. Interment will be held at a later date in the Forest Hill cemetery, Napoleon.
Friends will be received on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM in the Snyder-Wesche Funeral Home.
The family has suggested that memorial contributions may be made to the Napoleon Church of the Nazarene or the Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center.
