Amelia F. Nagel, age 97 of Archbold, Ohio passed away Thursday, February 4, 2010 at the Fairlawn Haven in Archbold.
She was born May 31, 1912 in Hamler, Ohio to the late Charles J. and Bertha (Arps) Precht. She married Victor A. Nagel on December 23, 1934 and he passed away on November 17, 1975.
Amelia was a devoted wife and mother. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Freedom Township, serving as a past president of the ladies aid and quilted with that group.
She is survived by three daughters, Marian (Leo) Middendorf of Pentwater, Michigan, Betty Teeple of Grand Rapids, Michigan and Diana (Robert) Wright of Lucas, Ohio; a son Richard (Carol) Nagel of Lewis Center, Ohio; 10 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband and two sisters, Clara Gable and Hilda Demaline.
Services will be held at 1:30 P.M. on Monday, (February 8, 2010) at St. John Lutheran Church, Freedom Township with the Rev. Stephen Niermann, officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Friends will be received on Sunday from 2-8 PM in the Snyder-Wesche Funeral Home in Napoleon and on Monday one hour prior to services at the church.
The family has suggested that memorial contributions may be made to St. John Lutheran Church Memorial Fund, Fairlawn Haven, or a charity of the donor’s choice.
