Biography
Anson M. Hill, age 84 of Defiance, Ohio died on Tuesday afternoon at his residence.
He was born April 7, 1925 in Oakwood, Ohio to the late Lester and Freda (Strope) Hill. He married Adella (DeRoy) Hill on February 28, 1945.
Anson was an ordained minister doing missionary work in Peru, South America. He attended Anderson Bible College in Anderson, Indiana. He was a W.W.II Navy veteran.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years Adella Hill; two sons David Hill and John (Karen) Hill; two daughters Ruth Ann (Bob) Ford and Mary Kay Karnes; a brother John Mark Hill; 7 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by a brother Errol Hill and a sister Imogene Risley.
Memorial services will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Friday, March 5, 2010 at the Church of the Brethren, Defiance, Ohio with the Rev. Gene Yenser, officiating. Interment will be private. Military rites will be conducted by the Defiance V.F.W. Post 3360.
Friends will be received on Friday from 2-3 PM at the church.
